Meet Emmy!

As an all-volunteer-run organization, we could not serve Des Moines area pets and their parents without the support of amazing volunteers.

Meet Emmy Doll, a volunteer with our Fundraising Committee! Emmy first heard about us by attending our annual Painters for Pets event and joined the action this year by helping plan.

We asked Emmy what her favorite part about The Pet Project is:

“What we do is amazing. When I was 21, I adopted a puppy and not long after lost a lot in my life. It took many years to crawl back but during that time, no matter what, I would choose to make sure my dog was fed (while I worked in restaurants 7 days a week to feed myself). I wish there was a program like this then because maybe I would have been able to have a better path.”
